2017-2019 Points of Pride

CHS Points of Pride 2018-2019 

  • CHS earned the grade of “B” from the DOE (A-F rating for the 2016-17 school year) 
  • CHS was re-endorsed as an Early College High School 
  • Gabe Nobbe, CHS Agriculture Teacher, was named FCSC “Secondary Teacher of the Year” for 2018-19 
  • Grad rate for 2016- 92.7% 

Gifts and Grants 

  • CHS received a gift of $5,000 from Dr. Dana Reihman and Dr. Eileen Cravens to be used for teacher classroom needs. They also set up an endowment with the Fayette County Foundation, for CHS teachers, that will continue to help teachers with supplies/equipment in the future! 
  • Gabe Nobbe- Living to Serve Grant- National FFA $3,000 
  • Gabe Nobbe, Trish Fields- Monsanto Grant- America's Farmers Grow Rural Education Grant $10,000 
  • Corner Store- East Central Indiana Realty -$1089.74 
  • UnitedHealth Group-Karen Branstetter- $500 

Facility improvements! 

  • A new restroom/concession stand/press box was constructed for the soccer and softball fields 
  • Construction of new Varsity softball field was started 
  • New sound panels installed in REW Auditorium to improve sound quality 
  • New speakers were installed in Spartan Bowl
